Santa Clarita to Hold Community Workshops
Workshops to focus on what the public sees as community needs.
The City of Santa Clarita has announced that it will hold three community workshops for the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan Update.
The first workshop will be held on June 11 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Activities Center in the Santa Clarita Sports Complex, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.
These Community Workshops will focus on what the public sees as community needs, issues, opportunities and constraints in the parks, recreation, and open space areas. Rick Gould, City Director of the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department, explains that "This is an excellent opportunity for community members to ask questions and incorporate their ideas and opinions on future parks, recreation, and open space expansion opportunities in Santa Clarita over the next decade."
This is your opportunity to participate in the process for identifying the community needs in the parks, recreation and open space areas. If you don’t like the direction that these services are taking, or if you’d like to see some new offerings, this is your chance to speak up! All community members are invited to attend these workshops.
