New residential contract to be in effect as of April 15.

Under a new contract with Blue Barrel disposal, residents of the City of Santa Clarita will see their trash bills reduced from $18.64 to $16.25 a month.

Also included in this contract are provisions for additional recycle or greenwaste carts at no charge and 4 bulky item pick ups per year (including electronic waste) with a maximum of 3 items per pick up.

Santa Clarita residents will also have the option to pay 11 months in advance to receive one month free.
