Newhall Ranch Landmark Village Preview
Landmark Village to be one of Newhall Ranch's first developments.
One of the first developments to be built in Santa Clarita’s Newhall Ranch will be Landmark Village.
The Landmark Village development will be very similar to Valencia’s Creekside development, with narrow streets, short blocks and smaller lot sizes as well as homes with alley access to garages at the rear of the homes. Lot sizes for detached homes will be up to about 6000 square feet, but most lots will be much smaller. More traditional cul-de-sacs will be replaced with shorter grid-patterned streets with roundabouts to slow traffic flow.
From the street, these homes will be more narrow and vertical and will be closer to the sidewalk with small front yards. Front porches will be featured on many of the homes to encourage the use of this space as additional outdoor living space. With the rear parking and the absence of a driveway, there will be limited parking and less need for the front yard space that the driveway normally takes up.
Attached homes will be built like row houses with entries facing the neighborhood street. These will be located along the busier corridors of the Landmark Village neighborhood.
Landmark Village will also include 296 "affordable" homes, including 144 homes along Highway 126 and 152 low-income senior rental homes.
Landmark Village’s residential neighborhoods will be enhanced by an elementary school, community park, neighborhood recreation centers, walking trails, a Village Quad area and a Village Center with retail stores.
Pricing for the Newhall Ranch Landmark Village will not be available until these homes are ready to be released to the public, which is expected to be sometime in 2010. Click here to request updates on Landmark Village as they become available.
