Valencia High School's Color Guard wins the Sweepstakes award at the Simi Valley High School Band Spectacular.

Valencia High School’s Color Guard is on a roll, taking the Sweepstakes Award for their division at the Simi Valley High School 39th Annual Band Spectacular today.

After winning first place in their division at the Hart Rampage Field Show Tournament earlier this month, the Valencia High School Color Guard continued to improve their performance and choreography, squeezing in practice sessions around the fire-related school closures.

Also winning awards in the Simi Valley competition for Division 2A were the Valencia High School Band (4th place), Canyon High School Band (1st place), Canyon High Color Guard (3rd place), and the Canyon High Drum Line (4th place). Awards were presented for 1st through 4th place in each category (color guard, band and drum line), as well as the Sweepstakes awards.
