Santa Clarita Water Rate Increase Approved
Castaic Lake Water Agency unanimously approves increase in rates for Santa Clarita Water.
Santa Clarita Water customers will soon see an increase of 14.5% on their water bills, bring the average bill to about $49.15 from a prior average of about $42.94.
The Castaic Lake Water Agency (CLWA) board approved this increase unanimously. Originally it was expected that this increase could be as high as 17%, so this is somewhat good news since the actual increase will be a bit less.
CLWA says that the increase is needed to cover increased costs of water and power as well as capital improvements.
