Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor to Remain Operational

Six Flags has announced that Valencia's Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor will remain in operation.

I can hear the big sigh of relief throughout Santa Clarita… Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor survived the Six Flags sell-off threat and will remain operational for the foreseeable future.

There will likely be some revamping, with Psyclone and Flashback scheduled for removal or possible relocation within the park area. New rides, as yet unannounced, will be located in these vacant spots. Expect the new rides to be more "family friendly" rather than roller coasters though, as Six Flags is clear in its desire to make its parks attract more families than teens because of the higher spending power.

Also look for park ticket specials that offer big savings on season passes and free season passes for youngsters with the purchase of an adult pass.
