New Home Sales Rise More Than Expected

Commerce Department report shows that new home sales rose more than expected in November.

A report issued by the Commerce Department shows that nationwide new home sales rose more than expected in November, indicating that the housing slowdown may be ending.

The median prices of homes also rose as inventories of homes for sales declined.

Shares of many major homebuilders gained momentum as investors jumped back into the housing market.
