Santa Clarita City Manager considering renaming Magic Mountain Parkway.

Santa Clarita City Manager Ken Pulskamp is reportedly considering renaming Magic Mountain Parkway to Santa Clarita Auto Center Parkway.

Is he NUTS??? Here we’ve been sweating the possible demise of the Magic Mountain theme park as Six Flags threatened to sell it to developers to "go condo", and now our City Manager is kicking Magic Mountain in the <teeth> saying that they want to rename Magic Mountain Parkway.

Obviously this isn’t a very popular move in the eyes of Six Flags, the current owners of Magic Mountain. For a city who is trying to keep the job base and tax revenue from mega-employer Magic Mountain, this seems to be an attempt at political suicide.
