Santa Clarita One of L.A.’s Most Business-Friendly Cities
Santa Clarita has been nominated for the Most Business-Friendly City Award.
The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. has established a new award to help encourage City officials to participate in bringing more job growth to the Los Angeles area. The other candidates for the award for the Most Business-Friendly City include Lancaster, Burbank, El Segundo and Long Beach.
Factors that make the City of Santa Clarita business-friendly include expedited plan reviews and permits, site location assistance, the lack of business license fees and utility user fees, and the more educated work force in the area.
Now we all know that the City officials aren’t perfect, but the fact that the City of Santa Clarita offers more services than many of the surrounding areas is certainly worth recognizing. Let’s just hope that they are successful in keeping Magic Mountain running as a theme park so we don’t lose the area’s biggest employer to the condo craze!
