Stonecrest Annexation: New Community Website

New site explores all aspects of the annexation decision process.

Residents concerned about the large amount of misinformation regarding the Stonecrest annexation to the City of Santa Clarita have developed a new community website to aid people in making informed decisions about the annexation process.

The new site explores the history and background of the project as well as the impact that the annexation of the Stonecrest development to the City of Santa Clarita will have on the Stonecrest residents. Other topics include taxes and fees, city vs county services, and the opposition's stance.

Remember that there is also a public meeting on April 20 at Pinetree School to discuss both sides of the Stonecrest annexation issue.

Oh, yeah... and isn't this the place that's gonna get all that mining dust on their homes and cars, in their pools and coating their lungs if the Cemex mine is allowed to be built? Why wouldn't these people want annexation, even if it only gives a minor advantage to the City of Santa Clarita in stopping the Cemex mine from being developed? GASP!!! CHOKE!!! I can see it now... 10 years from now Stonecrest residents will be calling in the Erin Brockovich team to sue Cemex for ruining their health if the Cemex mine is allowed to move forward.
