New Credit Scoring System Released
New VantageScore System is touted to be more consistent and predictive.
The newly released VantageScore system was developed jointly by the three major national credit scoring companies.
This system is touted to be able to provide a highly predictive, consistent score that is easy to understand and apply. Any differences in the credit scores between the three companies will supposedly be due to differences in their data rather than due to the structure of the scoring model or interpretation of the data. The VantageScore system is supposed to eventually replace the FICO scoring system as we know it today.
The scoring system will be structured as follows:
| A | 901-990 |
| B | 801-900 |
| C | 701-800 |
| D | 601-700 |
| F | 501-600 |
