Canyon Country Residents on Ermine Street Lose Bid to Block Brookfield Homes Development
City Council votes to approve the development of 499 new homes in the Plum Canyon area.

The developer is also supposed to provide $36 million in public amenities, including a 5-acre public park, sites for a YMCA and the William S. Hart Union High School District for a junior high school, and a $2 million contribution toward performing arts centers at Saugus and Canyon high schools.
Ermine Street residents claim that they expect see a rise in daily vehicle trips from about 80 a day to 2,000 a day.
