The building that Trader Joe’s occupies on Cinema Drive in Valencia is listed for sale at $7.2 million.
No, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Trader Joe’s will be moving, since they are a tenant (renter), not the owner of the building. Rumor has it that they may even be expanding into the downtown Newhall area, but Trader Joe’s management won’t be spilling the beans on any expansion plans until they are finalized, so the rumor could boil down to simple wishful thinking.
The Valencia building has only Trader Joe’s as a tenant, with 8189 square feet and about 47 parking spaces. Trader Joe’s is a chain with over 250 stores in 20 states, specializing in health foods and organic produce as well as its own private-label products.
